Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This is a placeholder privacy policy for the early-testing phase of Ariadne. Replace it with a lawyer-reviewed version, and one that matches what the app actually collects, before any public launch or app-store submission.
Who we are
Ariadne ("we", "us") is a mobile application that offers a gentle space to write out and work through everyday worries. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
What we collect
- The sessions and messages you write. Stored so they're there when you come back. You can delete a session at any time.
- Account information. You can start as a guest with no email. If you create an account, we store the email address and display name you provide.
- Basic usage events. Anonymous signals like opening the app or starting a session, used only to understand whether the app is working.
- The email list on this site. If you subscribe, we store the address you enter on our own server and use it only to send you news about Ariadne — the launch, and occasional updates after that. We don't sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we use it
- To provide the core features — saving your sessions and generating Ariadne's replies.
- To keep your account secure and restore it when you sign back in.
- To improve the app in aggregate. We do not sell your data.
AI-generated replies
Ariadne's reflections are generated by a third-party AI provider. The text of your message is sent to that provider to produce a reply. We do not use your conversations to train models.
Data retention & deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. Deleting a session removes its messages; deleting your account removes your sessions and profile. Usage events, crash logs and any feedback you sent us are kept to help improve the app, no longer tied to an account. To request deletion, contact us at the address below.
Not medical data
Ariadne is a self-help tool, not a medical or clinical service, and is not a substitute for professional care.
